1" CuNi 90/10 Pipe
A 1" CuNi 90/10 Pipe is widely used in seawater piping systems where long service life, stable performance and resistance to marine corrosion are required. Made from copper nickel 90/10 alloy, also known as UNS C70600, this pipe offers excellent resistance to saltwater, biofouling and stress corrosion, making it a reliable choice for shipbuilding, offshore platforms, desalination plants and coastal industrial projects.
For projects that involve continuous seawater flow, CuNi 90/10 is often preferred over carbon steel and many stainless steels because it forms a protective surface film in marine environments. This helps reduce maintenance costs and improves the overall reliability of the piping system.

| Nickel Ni + Cobalt Co | 9.0 – 11.0% |
| Iron Fe | 1.0 – 1.8% |
| Manganese Mn | Max 1.0% |
| Zinc Zn | Max 1.0% |
| Lead Pb | Max 0.05% |
| Other Elements | As per standard |
Why Choose 1" CuNi 90/10 Pipe?
A 1" CuNi 90/10 Pipe is commonly selected for small and medium seawater lines because it combines good mechanical strength with excellent corrosion resistance. It performs especially well where pipes are exposed to chloride-rich water, marine atmosphere or brackish water.
Key advantages include:
- Excellent resistance to seawater corrosion
- Good resistance to biofouling and marine organism attachment
- Suitable for high-flow seawater systems
- Good weldability and fabricability
- Long service life with low maintenance
- Stable performance in offshore and shipboard environments
- Better erosion-corrosion resistance than ordinary copper pipe
- Suitable for both new construction and repair projects
1" CuNi 90/10 Pipe Common Applications
- Shipbuilding seawater pipelines
- Offshore platform piping
- Ballast water systems
- Fire water systems
- Bilge and cooling water lines
- Desalination plant piping
